The stem on this girl has really thickened up, I'm trying to add some more fun movement into the stem while trying to grow out it's side branches. Right now I am very happy with the style of this one.
In this picture you can see how much scarring happened from the wires I added. Those wires were on for more than 2 weeks and when I took them off they were cutting into the stem deep so I let her go for the last few months bouncing back from the stress. As you can see the stem has a lot of movement and my next step with her is to kind of condense those twists and turns to make it look less lanky. At the top of the plant I started topping the taller nodes so that it can sprout a canopy like an oak tree. I'm honestly just happy it bounced back from the wire scars.
After repotting I put some major movement into it's stem. It had this long stem with no growth so I decided to curl that low and then where the leaves start showing I moved it back upright. I hope it doesn't scar too much from the wire and it can support itself without the wire.
A buddy of mine found a seed in an eighth of GG4 and gave it to me. A few months after germination this is the plant. I added an "s" curve to it but non of the side branches wanted to go anywhere it was mostly just stem. In this picture I'm about to transplant it into a bonsai pot.
